Is there any way to block users from posting content on the site? For example if I want to block any member who posts about "medifast" can I set up a filter/block that will prohibit any post with that word in the message or subject field to go into the moderation queue?

Hi, Irina.

You could set "medifast" up as a trigger word.

I know you'll be familiar with some of this information, but I'm posting it here so that other users may benefit as well.

You add trigger words through the eve control panel:

Forums > Master Settings > Advanced > Content Moderation Triggers (all the way at the bottom)

You can then set it to either "Allow content to go live, but reviewable in the Moderation Queue" or "Require approval before content goes live ," depending on the type of moderation you want to do.

The "Moderation Queue" is another term for the "Approval Queue" for your forums. When alerts show up in the Approval Queue, notifications are sent to the e-mail address of any admin or moderator who has requested them. To request notifications, log in and go to the Approval Queue Page (Forums > Content Management > Approval Queue Tab) in the eve control panel.

On the bottom of the Approval Queue page there's a checkbox that gives the option to receive notifications whenever something new is added to the Forums Approval Queue.

One more question regarding this feature. I'm trying to block a series of words together ie: Relationship A to Z. But when I added this to the queue it started blocking any post with the words "Relationship" and "to". Is there any way for me to just trigger the entire phrase as a whole and not individual words? I want to set the feature to block all together instead of going live and then have me review it and can't do that because I don't want every post with the words "Relationship" and "To" to be blocked waiting for approval.

Thanks.

Hi, Irina:

Are you using the braces with the phrase? E.g., {Relationship A to Z}?

No, because I didn't realize that you had to use the braces... there is no note for that like there is on the word trigger list.

Will this resolve my issue?

Ah, that's for censoring. Try it and see if it works for content moderation triggers.
